In July of 2003, with the leadership of a core group of non-profit directors within
Chandler, the support of the community, and the backing of the Chandler City Council,
the Chandler Non-profit Coalition (CNPC) was formed.
The primary goal of the CNPC is to engage every community member within Chandler
to support at least one Chandler non-profit agency with their time, expertise, service
and/or financial resources. The CNPC also seeks to involve businesses, both small
and large, to partner with non-profits in ways that are beneficial to both the community
and the company.
Our City government took a significant and unique step in support of these efforts.
In August of 2003, the Mayor and City Council adopted a resolution emphasizing the
importance of corporate contributions to area non-profits. This demonstration of
goodwill and support confirms that the government sector understands the impact
and importance of giving back to the community.
“I applaud the members of the Chandler Non-profit Coalition for their work in creating
strong, collaborative partnerships in our community. Their commitment to this tremendous
effort will benefit Chandler for many years to come.”
Boyd W. Dunn
Mayor, City of Chandler
